Yin Glow Bars  – Say hello to dewy skin

Chalk-a-block full of healthy fats and oils, these handy snacks help to build moisture in the body and contain the building blocks of YIN hormones like estrogen and progesterone.

These are great for women who run dry (skin, hair, nails, vagina) or suffer from constipation which tends to be dry and hard to pass.

These are super easy to make and then just pop them into the freezer to grab and go when you need a satisfying snack.
They make a great accompaniment to tea or warm drinks (hint: avoid too much coffee if you’re dry as it will just make things worse)

1 cup nut butter of choice (almond, tahini, hazelnut…)
1/2 cup coconut butter
1/4 cup cocoa or cacao powder
1/4 cup melted coconut oil
1-2 dates or 1 tbsp date syrup or honey (optional)
3/4-1 cup nut and seed mix (see chia breakfast recipe)
1 tsp vanilla
optional 1/8 tsp salt and 1//4 tsp cinnamon

Stir all ingredients together until smooth. If too dry (depending on nut butter used), add additional coconut oil if needed.
Pour into a small container, ice cube trays, silicone cupcake molds or even a pan that you can cut into squares later. Freeze to set.
NOTE: coconut oil softens when warm, it’s best to store these in the freezer and consume them a short time after taking them out.
