I have a dear friend who was recently diagnosed with advanced-stage cancer.
It has shaken her and her family to their core, obviously.
But she is intent on having this be the gateway to profound healing, on all levels.
No matter what the outcome.
As we sat on a call together with a few other wise and healing souls, we sat with the intention and knowing that healing was possible in every moment.
Focusing solely on the cancer was overwhelming.
But moment to moment, there is the opportunity to heal.
To align with what is most important.
To listen to inner needs, boundaries and delights. And to focus, moment to moment, every day, on how she wants to LIVE.
I’ve worked in integrative cancer throughout my career and witnessed profound healing and transformation in people who were living with cancer, at all stages.
Some went into remission, some lived a vibrant and healthy life with cancer, for much longer than ‘expected’. And some passed as a result of the cancer, but not without deep and profound healing happening during the process.
It has been some of the most rewarding work in my clinic career – working with cancer patients.
The authenticity, commitment and richness of their life experience as a result of the diagnosis, and the reminder of the preciousness of life that comes through that, is a profound honour and privilege to witness and work with.
It’s inspiring.
Not something you often think of with cancer: Inspiring.
But it is.
Stepping into their unique and authentic life is one of the things that offered the most profound healing to these people.
And that is the work I love to do the most – Helping people ignite and identify what lights them up, what is alignment with their inner values and what constitutes their authentic life.
But we don’t need to be diagnosed with cancer to be given permission to lead an authentic life.
Cancer is a massive wake-up call.
Disease of any sort is.
Dis-ease, symptoms (mental, emotional or physical) is our body/mind/soul desperately trying to get our attention.
It’s extreme, and it’s painful and challenging to have to listen from that place
Living a vibrant and aligned life shouldn’t be a last resort.
This is our birthright.
It’s why we are here: To live the life we were born to live, authentically, wholly and respectfully.
This is what truly honouring is. Or at least, that’s what I believe.
This is actually why I do what I do now.
This is why I stepped out of private practice and away from integrative cancer care.
Because I want to work with women who are ready to step into their authentic life, and live fully NOW, not waiting for a diagnosis or for a ‘cosmic 2×4’ as a dear friend calls it, to come along in order to get our attention.
Everything I offer now is about helping you step into the fullness of your authentic life.
To step into the fullness of your being, your vibrancy and the life you are called to lead.
There will always be a reason NOT to go here:
I don’t have the time.
I have too many responsibilities.
My family would be upset.
I can’t afford it.
I might fail.
Who do I think I am to want this.
I know nothing about that, am I crazy?
I’m too old.
It’s too late now….I could go on.
But the simple truth is this – You only have one life.
You, and only you, know what lights you up and what kind of life you want to live.
No one else can tell you that.
No one else can discover that for you.
How do YOU want to live? Are you doing it?
And if not, how long are you going to wait to start?
If you’re curious about working together In this way or want to know more about what I offer to help people live their true, vibrant and authentic life, book in with me any time.
It is my pleasure and honour to do this work.
I don’t want anyone to have to wait to get a life-threatening diagnosis to discover this.
Your life is too precious. You are too precious
I’m here to help if you’re called.
How do you want to live?
